i have not checked my email for a long time. i have over 300 emails in my inbox, but can not see any of them. when i attempt to check the mail it says error. i would be happy to even completely delete it all, but can't figure out how to. i need to clear this up quickly, as i can not use the email account at all at present. any suggestions?

Put a check mark on that box and hit delete.

This is for the Person (and you know I know who you are). By tracing the IP address of where you email account was last accessed (12:22 am on 8/18/06 and 8:27 am 8/18/06) you can tell the exact location and by what server your account was accessed. Then you can file a POLICE report against that individual to document their stalking...

Reply:maybe you are typing something wrong, but ill have to clear something up with wat the first answer said, yeah msn have this thing if u dont sign in for 6 months they inactivate you email account, they DONT delete your account, when you get into your account you can reactivate your email account

My wife's account on Yahoo was suspended a week ago, she get a message claiming its for 48 hours for her own protection, emails sent to her bounce back with message account is suspended.
I tried Yahoo's help, its free account, they keep sending me emails saying "...............wheels of progress are in motion...", they ask every two days for some clarifications, and still I am stuck. Any clue from anyone? Is Yahoo mail coming down?

Now i say like this u have 10MB on yahoo gmail whatever.
Split your files 50MB in 6 parts , u can do this with winrar winzip and so one, i use winrar and i make it self extract so
when my email reach the destination and all 6 files are in the same place with 2 click i will have all the 50 MB without the other person to have winrar on his machine.
So my point is split use selfextract and u will resolv this problem verry good.

I know this because I got a violation (only one!) - sent me running scared and I checked the terms and I noticed the bit about they have the right to close down your email too. I swiftly swithed to a new ID and email as I really needed that particular email address and couldn't risk losing it. Give it an hour and try again just incase there is a gremlin in the system.

Put a check mark on that box and hit delete.

If you don't have access to your old e-mail account you can still delete your MySpace. This is what you can do.
If you do not have access to your old email account, please send us an email with the following:
Your old email address
Your password for the account
The email address you want to change it to

My wife's account on Yahoo was suspended a week ago, she get a message claiming its for 48 hours for her own protection, emails sent to her bounce back with message account is suspended.
I tried Yahoo's help, its free account, they keep sending me emails saying "...............wheels of progress are in motion...", they ask every two days for some clarifications, and still I am stuck. Any clue from anyone? Is Yahoo mail coming down?

they say they allow to send attachment at maximum 50 MB. as others have mentioned, a receiver might have a problems to receive such a big file, so you need him/her to have a huge mailbox :)

Second if u buy from an ISP one email account from what i know they all have limitation in the size of the email.
U need this limitation cas if u don't u will have a problem with this big emails.
Now i say like this u have 10MB on yahoo gmail whatever.
Split your files 50MB in 6 parts , u can do this with winrar winzip and so one, i use winrar and i make it self extract so
when my email reach the destination and all 6 files are in the same place with 2 click i will have all the 50 MB without the other person to have winrar on his machine.
So my point is split use selfextract and u will resolv this problem verry good.

Reply:I don't know of any webmail service that'll go as high as a 50mb file. You could try sending it from outlook or outlook express, that may get around the size limit but I doubt it. There is a site that you can upload files to and then send an email to whomever to download the file and its free:

If you just want to send large files try ftp or http instead. Or you can snail mail a CD.

How do I close an old YAHOO email account?
Actually, the easiest way to close your free Yahoo account is to do nothing. By not using your account (that means not even logging in to check it) for 4 months, Yahoo will automatically deactivate it and erase all content. Nothing you can do about it... . The site likely tried to email you for confirmation and, naturally you didn't get it. It will time out and the account will go away.
Just sign up again with the correct information and don't worry about it.

When I typed in the account name and password just now it said that no such account exists. But when I closed the account, a months ago, a message from Yahoo said they would keep the account in a kind of limbo status for 90 days. Why am i not able to log into my yahoo email account?
As many of my fans would know i opened an email account -localbaldie@yahoo.com about 4 days back. But today when i try to log in , yahoo doesnot recognise this email account at all!!I have typed the correct password. That is not teh problem. Please help.

as long as your using the right password and id there shouldnt be any problems. hopefully you havnt given your password to anyone and they have changed it. if you still have problems go to the help section of yahoo email and let them know of the problem.

Can I import select email addresses from another Yahoo email address account?
I have a Yahoo email account and my husband has a Yahoo email account (on the same computer).
He has lots of email addresses in his Yahoo account; I have none.....yet.
Is there a way for me to "select" certain email addresses that are in his Yahoo account and import them directly into my Yahoo account?
It sure would simplify things if I could. I hate to have to go back and forth copying and pasting email addresses one by one if they can be imported or done another way.

You should be able to export out addresses by selecting the adreesses you need and selecting the Import/Export option on the top right corner below the ad before the "Options". You should be able to export as a Yahoo format. Save the file to your computer. Now go to your account. You have two different ways in which you can close out your account. the first way is not to use it for 4 months and Yahoo! will deactivate it due to inactivity.
The second way you need to read the "Account Deletion" page thoroughly. When you delete an account you are deleting your complete ID. So that means you are losing Yahoo! ID, Mail address, and Profile names. We will also delete your account data and settings across the Yahoo! network. This includes the contents of your HotJobs, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Address Book, Yahoo! Small Business, Yahoo! GeoCities, Yahoo! Briefcase, My Yahoo! and more. Account deletion will also terminate any paid services that you own with this yahoo id. 2 methods depending on circomstances.
method one
1) log into e-mail and click on options in the top right corner.
2) click on mail address
3) below the list there is an option that allows you to create a new free yahoo ID
method two
1) click on my account at the top of mail.yahoo.com or my.yahoo.com
2) click on create new sub account
3) fill in all required fields
4) (optional) log into new account and forward all e-mail to your primary e-mail
5) (optional) log into primary e-mail and click on options in the top right. then click on mail address
6) (optional) add a new account with your new e-mail address
7) when you create a new message there will be a drop down in the from field where you can choose what e-mail you wish to send from. all e-mail's sent to either address will come into the same account.

My wife's account on Yahoo was suspended a week ago, she get a message claiming its for 48 hours for her own protection, emails sent to her bounce back with message account is suspended.
I tried Yahoo's help, its free account, they keep sending me emails saying "...............wheels of progress are in motion...", they ask every two days for some clarifications, and still I am stuck. Any clue from anyone? Is Yahoo mail coming down?

they say they allow to send attachment at maximum 50 MB. as others have mentioned, a receiver might have a problems to receive such a big file, so you need him/her to have a huge mailbox :)

Second if u buy from an ISP one email account from what i know they all have limitation in the size of the email.
U need this limitation cas if u don't u will have a problem with this big emails.
Now i say like this u have 10MB on yahoo gmail whatever.
Split your files 50MB in 6 parts , u can do this with winrar winzip and so one, i use winrar and i make it self extract so
when my email reach the destination and all 6 files are in the same place with 2 click i will have all the 50 MB without the other person to have winrar on his machine.
So my point is split use selfextract and u will resolv this problem verry good.

It's not a bad website, actually it's just Blogtv.com but I entered the wrong email address and it accepted it, it's not my email address or anyone that I know, what should I do!?

Just sign up again with the correct information and don't worry about it.

Hey there! I had an existing Yahoo! email account. However, I wasn't satisfied with the username that I had selected. So, I went over and created a new email account with Yahoo! again. I'm trying to shift over ALL the messages in my Inbox of my old Yahoo! account to the inbox in my new Yahoo! account. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

1) Create a new custom folder in your old account (I called mine "old sent").
2) Move all of your sent items into the new custom folder.
Neither Yahoo or Trueswitch was of any help when none of my old sent items transferred to my new account; I had to figure this out on my own. Frustrating, to say the least.

How do I stop stupid singles ads from my email account?!?
OK, I went into my yahoo email options, and I added a few key words to my block list, ie, singles, mate etc. For some reason it seems like since I have done this there are even more than before! I even moved them into my inbox so I could mark them as spam, but they only send me more emails from a different domain! Ugh! I hate it! How do I make them stop for good?! I marked that I wanted any emails containing the words singles or mate sent to the trash, so why are they still in my bulk folder?!!!

Just sign up for another free account. You can register disposble e-mail addresses using address guard but if you want really good webmail then i think you should just sign up for one of their premium packages.

Like Gabriel said there is not anyway for you to determine if someone else has been accessing your account to read your email. You might check your "sent" folder" to see if they have used your account to send any mail, it may confirm your suspicions. Again back to Gabriel's answer follow his suggestions for changing your password.
