How do I set up an email account for my child?

Really the easy way is just to set it up. If I recall correctly there is a question about your age being 18. If you say no then they insist that an adult come forward, and I think give a credit card number and all. However, truthfully if YOU are over 18 you answer correctly by saying yes. Just go ahead.

As any parent should you need to decide how much you oversee what your child does on the internet.

Ron is decaesed now did his email account get deleted?
It's possible that his account was deactivated after no one logged-in to the account for a while.
Reply:No. Email account have to be deleted after you log on with his ID and password. If you find out what that is just go to OPTIONS on your email page...then MAIL ADDRESSES. You will find a box in there with the email address with the option to delete it..Further after clicking on OPTIONS ..you can then click on ACCOUNT INFORMATION (located on the left side in the box) and you can edit all the info...erase it

Main thing is getting his ID and PASSWORD...good luck.in addition...if all else fails....email...mail@yahoo-inc.com or call 800-318-0783

Suddenly I do not have to sign in with a password on my email account, which is worrying.?

I type in yahoo.com and it goes straight to my emails with no password etc needed. Very worrying.

Suddenly I do not have to sign in with a password on my email account, which is worrying.?
I'd be concerned too, that's not safe to have your account open with no password!

I noticed a new feature on the sign-in page on Yahoo... there is a box to check at sign-in that says something like "Keep me signed in for two weeks".... did you happen to check that box when you were signing in last time?

Be sure before you close your browser window to click 'sign out', do the same with your messenger. If this doesn't sign you out of your account, then you should probably contact customer service and ask them to help you with this problem.

Good luck!

:D
Reply:Go to mail setting and turn off the option that keeps you logged in for 2 weeks until you log out.
Reply:They got a two week log on time now. Took me a few times logging on to realize it too :)
Reply:Log out of your account, then go back to the log in screen and uncheck "remember me in this computer for 2 weeks"
Reply:Yahoo has introduced a new technology that keeps you logged on to yahoo services for two weeks until and unless you click sign out. You must have let a check box clicked, which tells that 'keep me logged on for 2 weeks unless i sign out'(not the exact words but this is what it means)

so wen ever u open your yahoo mail , it bypasses the asking of your password. This is safe if u r the only one using the computer, but if ne 1 else is using it, and if that person opens yahoo mail, ur account will open. To disable this, just signout from your mail the next time rather than jus closing it from the top.
Reply:is it on your own computer??? I know if you check the box keep me logged on for 2 weeks thats what it will do, but it should only be on your computer.

How do i check my other email account when i have yahoo dsl?

I have yahoo dsl..and everytime i log out it kicks me off line..

How do i check my other email account when i have yahoo dsl?
A friend of mine also had the same problem. It was later

resolved when i told her not to use the software they included

with the DSL pack. You can just use some other internet

browsers. For Yahoo Messenger, you can download a

stand-alone copy. So, you'll no longer have to sign in using

a yahoo account to access the internet. Good luck!

I would recommend Mozilla Firefox for browsing the web.

You can download it for free at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

As for the messenger client, grab your stand-alone copy at

http://messenger.yahoo.com/

Hope this helps! :)
Reply:well the best way is 2 open a lot of windows for yahoo b4 u log in

I would like to open an email account for my 2 daugthers. How can I do it?

If you want to open to email accounts for your 2 daughters just go to yahoo or msn.com and click on mail or hotmail and follow the instructions. I suggest you let them pick out the username because if you dont you'll never here the end to it.

I would like to open an email account for my 2 daugthers. How can I do it?
first u need 2 pick that site where u your daughters to have their accounts 2 be at then follow the simple instructions that they tell to follow while u are setting up their account
Reply:DON'T DO IT !!! If they are too young to do it themselves, then they shouldn't have email accounts.

Don't you get all the smut and porn spam???
Reply:Assuming that your ISP does not provide you with multiple email accounts, choose an email site (e.g. Yahoo Mail, Hot Mail, Mail.com, etc.), choose a user name, and choose a password. For children, you might want to let the browser remember the password for you, but if you do, write it down and store it somewhere safe.

Why can't I bcc a group of my friends an email from my ymail account?

When trying to send a message to all my friends, I get a message that there are too many addresses in my bcc address line. Since I have more than 6 friends, this ymail account seems to be non useful to me. I didn't have this problem in my old yahoo address.

Why can't I bcc a group of my friends an email from my ymail account?
You need to check your emails and make sure they are in properly. It should work if the addresses is right.
