Want to keep the email address, but delete the Yahoo!Answers part of an account. How do I do this?
How can you delete your Yahoo!Answers account without losing Email address?
You can't 鈥?only Yahoo Answers has that ability, and they will only do it for violations. Even closing your email account will NOT close your Yahoo Answers account, just make it inaccessible to YOU. The Q%26amp;A will remain on the site. After 4 months, the PROFILE will disappear, but the questions and answers will still be on the site.
You can blank out your avatar and nickname, close any links to your 360, IM or email, delete your open questions and answers, set your Network and Q%26amp;A to private. Then just leave. Any IN VOTING or RESOLVED questions and answers are the property of Yahoo Answers and only they can remove them, usually for violations.
Also, you can set FILTERS on your email to catch any email from YA and direct it either to the TRASH or a separate folder, where you can read it or not, as you wish.
Reply:You won't be able to delete one with out the other. You could still use it by going to your Y/A porfile and editing the email portion, and opt out in receiving emails.
